Jewish
Travel in Poland is a team of highly qualified historians, genealogists,
guides, and educators. Our professional associates have extensive
experience in leading heritage tours in East-Central Europe and
hold graduate degrees from international universities including
Oxford, Yale, Brandeis, and the Jagiellonian University in Krakow.
We organize individually tailored tours and suggested itineraries
to Holocaust and Jewish interest sites in Poland. We provide the
most professional tour leaders and interpreters, quality accommodation,
and reliable transportation.
Our Officers
Tomek Kuncewicz
The president and founder of Jewish Travel in Poland, Tomek holds
an MA in Jewish History from Brandeis University in the USA, from
where he was also awarded the annual Excellence in Teaching award.
He has been the director of the Auschwitz Jewish Center since
its establishment in 2000. His major interests are the history
of antisemitism and the preservation of Jewish heritage in Poland.
He has also lectured extensively in Canada, the USA, South Africa,
and Europe. He has studied Jewish history and the Holocaust in
Poland, Hungary, and Israel (Yad Vashem), as well as Hebrew at
the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He is a certified Poland tour
leader and Polish-English translator, and also holds a master’s
degree in English Studies from the Adam Mickiewicz University
in Poznan, Poland.
Daniel Feldman
As a co-founder and the vice-president responsible for International
Affairs, Daniel is based in New Haven in the USA. Daniel is the
descendent of Holocaust survivors from Poland, and has traveled
extensively throughout Central and Eastern Europe, having taught
Jewish Studies in Germany, as well as in the USA, and studied
in Krakow. He has also studied at an Israeli yeshiva and speaks
fluent Hebrew. Daniel is currently completing a PhD in Shoah history
and literature at Yale University, and holds a BA in comparative
literature from Columbia University.
Kate Craddy
Kate is a co-founder and the vice-president responsible for Specialized
Tours. She holds a master’s degree in Jewish Studies from Oxford
University, and is a PhD candidate in Jewish and Holocaust Studies
at the University of Birmingham in the UK. She has also studied
Jewish history in Poland and Israel (Yad Vashem), and has been
the recipient of several prestigious awards for her work in Holocaust
memory. Kate has been based in Poland for the last two years,
where she also works for the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum.
