Aleksandrow Lodzki


A former center of Chasidism, the Jewish cemetery was almost entirely destroyed during the Holocaust. Today, only a few matzevot remain, including that of Tzaddik Dancygier.

Andrychow


One Jewish cemetery remains.

Anielin


One Jewish cemetery with 200 matzevot remains.

Annopol


One Jewish cemetery remains.

Augustow


The Jewish cemetery was largely devastated during the Holocaust, and today houses a memorial to Holocaust victims.

Auschwitz-Birkenau


The largest of the Nazi German death camps, over 1.1 million people, mainly Jews, were murdered during the four and half of the camp's operation. Today, half a million people a year visit the museum and memorial created on the sites of the former camp.
